KARACHI, Sept 7: Five ships carrying containers and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Tenth Ocean, Wan Hai-315, Y.M. Sun to unload and load containers and Gemini to offload palm oil were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships, which departed were led by Cancale Star, Dab Jing Kou, Vinshin Summer, Corn Thaikos, Cosco Shekou and Y.M.Sun, while Gemini, Wan Hai-315, Aegean Tiger, Ninos, and Red Sea Spirit are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 0.101m tons comprising 26,150 tons of export cargo including 3,123 tons of rice and 6,101 tons of cement and 74,474 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Soon Fu, Oel Mimrai, Oel Spirit, and Gulf Bridge, with containers and Asian Queen, to load 20,000 tons of cement.
