Bomb in northwestern Pakistan tribal town leaves 4 dead, 10 wounded, officials say DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan, Sep 2, (AP) - A bomb exploded in medical store in a town market in northwestern Pakistan on Sunday, killing four people and wounding 10, officials said. The explosion ripped through the pharmacy in Wana, the main town of South Waziristan tribal region, which borders Afghanistan, a local intelligence official said on condition of anonymity. A doctor, who also requested anonymity, confirmed that four people were killed and 10 wounded in the explosion and one of the wounded was in a serious condition. (Posted @ 20:44 PST)

NKorea to declare and disable all nuclear programs by year-end: US GENEVA, Sept 2, (AFP) - North Korea has agreed to make a full declaration of all its nuclear programmes and to disable them by the end of the year, the chief United States negotiator said on Sunday. “One thing that we agreed on is that the DPRK (North Korea) will provide a full declaration of all of their nuclear programs and will disable their nuclear programs by the end of this year, 2007,” Christopher Hill told journalists after two days of talks in Geneva. The nine were freed when American forces raided a building in the town of Tarmiyah that was allegedly being used by Al-Qaeda to hold “illegal terrorist court proceedings,” the US military statement said. Two militants wounded in Israeli air strike on Gaza GAZA CITY, Sept 2, (AFP) - Two Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip were lightly wounded on Sunday when the Israeli military targeted their car in the south of the territory, medics and the army said. In the second Israeli air strike of the day inside the coastal strip, an Israeli aircraft fired at a car containing the militants near the southern town of Khan Yunis, medics and witnesses said. Eleven more fighters from the Fatah al-Islam group were captured when they attempted to break out of the Nahr al-Bared camp in north Lebanon. The army had estimated that 35 active fighters remained in the camp before Sunday, but it was unclear whether all had tried to flee, the security source said. There were also a number of wounded militants still inside, he added. At least two killed, 15 injured in five bomb blasts around Nepal's capital KATHMANDU, Sept 2, (AFP) - At least two people were killed and many more injured in five bomb blasts around Kathmandu on Sunday, a senior police officer said. The U.S. has been urging the UAE to crack down on companies believed to be smuggling equipment to Iran to build explosive devices killing American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Major General Tim Cross, the top British officer involved in planning post-war Iraq, said he raised serious concerns with then US defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld about the possibility of the country descending into chaos.
