SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 31: Bhekhi police have arrested two members of a robbers’ gang with snatched tractors, money, weapons and cell phones.

Sheikhupura District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Shafique told newsmen on Friday that arrested proclaimed offenders Sona of Makuana and Shaukat Ali of Fatehgarh, Faisalabad, were involved in murders and robberies.

He said they shot a farmer in Fatehgarh some months ago and snatched his tractor. Later, they took refuge in Sheikhupura district and were arrested in a police raid on Friday.

Shafique said the accused used to sell snatched tractors in Khanpur and Rahim Yar Khan districts. He said five accomplices of the arrested criminals were still at large.
