Power outage

HYDERABAD, Aug 31: Residents of Liaquat Colony took to the roads and staged a protest demonstration as several parts of Hyderabad remained without electricity from morning till afternoon due to a massive fault in Hala grid station of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) on Friday.

Areas in Gari Khata, Saddar, Hirabad, Sarfaraz and Liaquat Colony sub-divisions remained without electricicity. The SDO’s vehicle was damaged by protesters. Areas in Gari Khata, Saddar, Hirabad, Sarfaraz and Liaquat Colony sub-divisions remained without electricicity where people faced water shortage due to non-functioning of pumping machines in plazas and at homes. Power suspension affected working of the Civil Hospital as well.—Correspondent
