KARACHI, Aug 28: Five vessels carrying containers, steel and coal are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Sinar Bandung, Harmony and Tower Bridge to unload and load containers, Nalina to offload steel cargo, Aylmer to offload vehicles and Johar to unload crude oil were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed on Tuesday included Wadi al-Rayan, Ever Bridge, Aylmer, Eagle and Western Star, while Pacific Arrow, Tower Bridge, Jo Oak, Sinar Bandung and Johar are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 0.128m tons comprising 43,171 tons of export cargo and 84,943 tons of import cargo was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Jitra, Hansa Stavanger, Y.M. Energy with containers, Atlantic Express with steel and Effy with coal.
