Ban on wheat flour export slammed

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Aug 28: Chairman Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA), Sindh Zone, Ansar Jawed has termed the ban on export of wheat flour and its bye-products through sea routes as an unjustified move against the Sindh province.

In an emergency meeting held here on Tuesday, he said that it was strange that exporters of only one province would suffer while exporters of other provinces would enjoy the facility through land routes.

He said that the government had not taken the stakeholders into confidence before slapping ban on export of value-added items.

He said exporters would suffer badly and urged the government to allow shipments of those consignments of exporters which were ready for shipments.
