3 suspects in Islamabad blasts sent to jail

RAWALPINDI, Aug 23: Special Judge Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) No1 Habibur Rehman here on Thursday sent three suspects in two Islamabad blasts on 14 days judicial remand to Adiala Jail.

Police told the court that the identification parade of the arrested people would be held in the jail.

The police said that Fasihullah a resident of Dera Ismail Khan and two brothers, Faisal Mushtaq and Qasim Mushtaq residents of Kotli Sattian were arrested from the area of Baharakaho Police Station (PS) and three different FIRs under section 3 and 4 of explosive act of Pakistan Penal Code were registered against them on August 22.

Police suspected that the three men were involved in two bomb blasts one at Islamabad district courts on July 17 killing 17 people and the other at Aabpara Market on July 27 killing 14 people. The judge on August 21 sent two other alleged terrorists Imdad Hussain and Nasir Mehmood to Adiala jail.

Meanwhile Additional District and Sessions Judge (ASJ) Chaudhry Imtiaz issued show cause notice to Station House Officer (SHO) of Saddar Berooni for not complying with the orders of the court regarding pasting of poster of a proclaimed offender.

The court had declared Gohar Ali an accused in a rape and ordered the SHO to paste a poster of the absconder outside the police station, at a bus intersection, near the residence of the accused and outside the court. The SHO had to submit a copy of that poster for the record of the court. The copy could not be submitted despite repeated reminders.—A Reporter
