KARACHI, Aug 23: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has awarded a licence to China Mobile Pakistan (CMPak) for providing cellular services in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Northern Areas.

CMPak Chief Executive Guo Yonghong and PTA Chairman Shahzada Alam Malik signed the contract at a ceremony held at Chinese Embassy in Islamabad on Thursday, says a press release.

Mr Guo said CMPak had greater confidence in Pakistan’s government and this would lead the company to bring more foreign direct investment in the country.
