Gulf between JUI-F and JI widening

By Our Correspondent

TIMERGARA, Aug 12: The Adenzai tehsil chapter of the Jamiat Ulama-i-Islam (JUI-F) has decided to end alliance with the Jamaat-i-Islami for what it called ignoring its workers in development schemes in the area.

Addressing a press conference at the Chakdara Press Club here on Sunday, JUI (F) Adenzai amir Maulana Habibur Rehman, joint-secretary Mohammad Ayub and press-secretary Mohammad Yunas said that MPAs and MNAs of the Jamaat-i-Islami were not consulting the JUI workers while making decisions on development projects.

They said the JI leaders had pledged that all decisions regarding the development of the area would be taken in consultation with the workers of all component parties of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, but now they were ignoring the JUI-F workers.

They alleged that the JI legislators had transferred two senior officers of the education department belonging to the JUI-F and posted their own men to the posts.

They said they would ask the JUI-F provincial and district leadership to end alliance with the JI and field its own candidates in the next election.

Brother of Senator Gul Naseeb Khan, JUI-F provincial amir, was present at the press conference.
