MIRPURKHAS: Accused remanded in police custody: Mannu Bheel case

By Our Correspondent

MIRPURKHAS Aug 12: The special judicial magistrate has granted four-day police remand of Raju Bheel, an accused in the Mannu Bheel case, here on Sunday.

Raju Bheel was produced by police before the court for remand.

On Saturday, heavy contingents of police headed by SPO Abid Kaimkhani arrested Raju Bheel near Naukot while two other accused, Shabbir Kaimkhani and Manzoor Chanhio, were still at large.

The names of Raju Bheel, Manzoor Chanhio and Shabbir Kaimkhani were mentioned by Mansingh Bheel in his confessional statement, recorded two days ago in the court of judicial magistrate Digri Nadeem Badar Qazi.

Inquiry officer Abid Kaimkhani said that raids were being conducted to arrest Shabbir Kaimkhani and Manzoor Chanhio.

He said that he had found some important clues and information about the kidnapped family of Mannu Bheel after the statement of Raju Bheel was recorded, and he was hopeful to make significant progress in this case.

He said that the Supreme Court would hear this case on August 15, in Islamabad, and he along with incharges of other inquiry teams of police would submit their progress reports in the court.

Special prayers: People offered special prayers in mosques and houses in connection with Shab-i-Mairaj on Saturday night.

The mosques in the city and other areas of the district were tastefully illuminated.

Mahafil-i-Naat were also arranged.
