CHENNAI, Aug 10: India outclassed Pakistan 3-0 in the seventh Test to take the lead in the inaugural volleyball series between the two traditional rivals on Friday. By winning the seventh Test, India have taken a 4-3 lead in the series with two more games to go.

In the first set the Indian team employed different quick combinations in attack and multiple blocks to counter Pakistan’s ace spiker Naseer Ahmed and quick attacker Kashif Mansoor. The Indians demonstrated a much better set of powerful spikes besides having an agile defence in the game. On the other hand, their opponents looked helpless and conceded the first set 21-25.

The hosts continued their sail smoothly in the second set too, winning points continuously before taking the set 25-21.

After going down 0-2, Pakistan tried to come back in the game but their opponents didn’t allow it to happen and finally won the third set 26-24 and so the match 3-0.—Agencies
