KARACHI, Aug 8: Six ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active as five ships, Ocean Friend, Ninos, APL Amman, Oel Trust and Vegeeniv Titov were berthed after the departure of seven.

The departing ships were led by Iran Baabaei, Sinar Bandung, Ninos, Chemstar Brave, Tor Anglia, Pacific Champand Nave, while Red Sea Spirit, Golina, APL Amman, Oel Trust and Kapitan Ryaskin are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 73,547 tons comprising 31,663 tons of export cargo and 41,884 tons of import tonnage was handled on Wednesday.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Western Star, Jitra Bhan with containers, Adrigtic Arrow to load cement, Conti Express, Chitral and Hyundai Janbo with general cargo.
