ISLAMABAD, Aug 7: The local police have arrested four persons and recovered illegal arms, including a murder weapon, from them, a spokesman for the police said here on Tuesday.

The spokesman said two 12-bore guns, two 30-bore pistols, 12 rounds and 10 cans of liquor were seized. The alleged criminals were arrested from different areas of the capital.

During patrol, the Tarnol police arrested Mohammad Yasir for carrying a 30-bore pistol and 10 rounds. On the identification of the accused, the police also recovered a 12-bore gun that was used in a murder. The Golra police arrested Mohammad Malik Dad and seized a 12-bore gun from him.

The Sabzi Mandi police recovered a 30-bore pistol and two rounds from the possession of a man identified as Usman.

Th Bhara Kahu police intercepted a car (LWA-1053) and recovered 10 cans of liquor during its search and arrested the driver, Danish Aziz.
