KARACHI: Call centre to help resolve complaints on time: Ibad

KARACHI, Aug 5: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has said the call centre established by the city government will help redress the complaints of the people in a timely manner besides restoring their confidence in the city’s administrative departments.

Visiting the call centre here, the governor said that the system will also ensure effective coordination between other departments such as the police and traffic management, while their performance could also be improved.

“The establishment of this system will prove to be an important milestone,” he observed.

Giving a briefing on the occasion, City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal said that initially the centre would be staffed by 50 call agents while there is room for making further additions.

Functioning 24 hours, the centre will keep the city nazim and the DCO updated with the latest information. It will also identify those departments which might be showing any negligence in the discharge of their respective duties.

All the towns have been linked with the centre while the union councils will be connected in the next phase.—APP
