HYDERABAD, Aug 4: Sindh University Vice-Chancellor Dr Mazharul Haq Siddiqui has exhorted the research scholars and teachers to make effective use of digital library which provided online access to thousands of books and journals.

He said this during a demonstration session of a new digital library at Allama I.I.Kazi Library, launched by Higher Education Commission on Friday.

Pro-vice chancellor Dr Rafia Ahmed Shaikh, directors, chairpersons of various institutes and departments, senior faculty members, a large number of research scholars attended the session.

He said that in this modern age a digital library was an essential requirement for scholars and teachers.

He announced that the university would provide more computers in the library. Dr Mazharul Haq said that the university would extend internet access to students in their rooms at boys and girls hostels.—Bureau
