KARACHI, Aug 4: Brisk shipping activity was witnessed at the port where four ships due to load, unload containers, and rape seeds were allotted berths at QICT and MPI, respectively, during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release.

Meanwhile another container vessel arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 40 per cent for the third consecutive day at the port where five ships occupied berths to load, unload, containers, rape seeds and sulphur, respectively, during the report period.

The port handled 49,020 tons of cargo comprising 33,975 tons of imports land 15,045 tons of exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,535 Teus during the period under review.

Oil tanker Oriental Miho sailed out to the sea.
