Blasts rock three towns

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, July 31: Three powerful explosions on Tuesday rocked Hub, Khuzdar and Wadh. Exchange of fire between security forces and suspected militants was also reported in the Mach area.

Police sources said a locally-made explosive device was planted near the boundary wall of a private factory in Hub that went off with a big bang. The wall collapsed in the blast. However, no loss of life was reported.

Two powerful explosions were also heard in Khuzdar and Wadh. However, the locations of the blasts could not be ascertained.

Meanwhile, suspected militants fired rockets at a check post of the Frontier Corps in the Mach area, some 70km from here. Two rockets were landed and exploded close to the post.
