LAHORE, July 31: District Coordination Officer Mian Ijaz has ordered launching of a campaign against the motor-vehicles with tinted glasses from Friday. The DCO, who is also the chairman of the District Regional Transport Authority, has directed the DRTA secretary and traffic SP to give 48-hour notice to the drivers and owners of motor-vehicles to remove tinted glasses and then start the campaign against the violators.

The major operation in this connection will be conducted on the Shahrah-i-Quaid-i-Azam and the Jail Road where four squads comprising traffic police and DRTA officials will be on duty round the clock.

The crackdown has been ordered for security reasons and in compliance with the orders of superior courts. —Reporter
