Blood Safety Project to be launched soon


ISLAMABAD, July 31: The Ministry of Health will soon launch a “Blood Safety Project” in the country to ensure safe and rational blood transfusion. The project will be launched in collaboration with the German government that will extend an assistance of 18 million Euros.

The National Aids Control Programme (NACP) will be the lead executor at the national level, while implementation units under the respective health departments would execute the project at provincial level.

In this regard, a meeting presided over by Secretary Health Khushnood Akhtar Lashari was held here to discuss the project.—APP
