KARACHI: PPP smells a rat in recruitment

KARACHI, July 29: The Pakistan People’s Party criticised the government “for giving employment on political grounds, sharing government jobs equally between the ruling Pakistan Muslim League and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.”

Sindh PPP chief Qaim Ali Shah termed it another atrocity of the present rulers and said distribution of 48,000 jobs in various departments amongst different coalition partners of the present regime was nothing but murder of merit.

He said dreams of millions of jobless people were shattered when ruling coalition partners started distributing jobs on party affiliation.

The rulers lacking political and moral ethics were bent upon trampling all rules and regulations to prolong their rule, he added.

Mr Shah requested the superior judiciary to take suo motu notice of this sensitive issue and order a high-level probe into it.—PPI
