44 PML-Q youth wing activists resign

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, July 16: Forty-four office-bearers of the youth wing of the PML-Q Balochistan have tendered their resignations from party offices in protest against the attitude of the party’s provincial general-secretary, Saifuddin Kabzai.

Some activists of the wing on Monday staged a demonstration outside the Quetta Press Club and chanted slogans against Mr Kabzai.

Addressing the protesters, youth wing’s general-secretary Naqeeb Tareen said that owing to Mr Kabzai’s wrong policies the provincial government had failed to resolve the problems of people.

Mr Tareen said that Chief Minister Jam Muhammad Yousuf had become a hostage in the hands of Mr Kabzai. Party workers, particularly the youth wing activists, could not meet the chief minister, he said, alleging that Mr Kabzai had imposed a ban on the entry of workers in the chief minister secretariat.

He said the youth wing had full confidence in the leadership of party chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and provincial president Jam Muhammad Yousuf. He demanded removal of Mr Kabzai as the general-secretary.
