KARACHI, July 12: Brisk berthing activity was witnessed at port where four ships to load/ offload containers and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, five more ships carrying containers, chemicals, diesel oil and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, ACX Marqurite, Pacheco, Lugano, Nedlloyd America, Samho Heron, Chemstar Brave, Lady Jasmino and Capt. George-L, were busy in loading and unloading containers, edible oil, canola seeds, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 70,478 tons comprising 50,350 tons of import and 20,128 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as Nedlloyd America, ACX Margurite, Lady Jasmine, Sanho Heron and Chemicals Brave left the port.
