Encroachments removed from Gulshan drain

KARACHI, July 7: A Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town municipal team, led by DTO Mehmood Siddiqui, demolished 10 houses constructed on a nullah in Esa Nagri to ensure proper drainage in the area.

The operation was conducted in UC-4. The nullah (from New Town Chowrangi-PIB Colony to the Lyari River) was badly encroached upon, causing choking of the sewerage system.

Cleaning of drain

Korangi Town Nazim Mohammad Arif Khan on Saturday inspected the cleaning work of rainwater drains from Korangi 9,000 Road to 5,000 Road, Allahabad UC 1 at Bilawal Colony.

The nazim directed the relevant staff to dispose of the garbage taken out from the nullah, besides ensuring fumigation spray.—PPI
