ISLAMABAD, July 5: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued three notifications by amending earlier notifications to allow charging of sales tax on the basis of volume of cargo loaded on or discharged from the vessel.
According to SROs-66, 67, 68, issued here on Thursday, after the word “ton”, at the end, the comma and words, “irrespective of the value at which the supply is made” shall be added.
The amendments were made in the notifications — SRO 545 of 2006; SRO 103 of 2005 and SRO 15 of 2006, respectively.
