KARACHI, June 29: Three ships carrying containers, edible oil and coke were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday. Meanwhile, five more ships with containers, coal, furnace oil and iron ore also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy fell to 50 per cent as five ships, AL-Isha’a, Aurora, Negotiator, AL-Maqwa and Guang Meng Feng, were busy in loading and unloading containers, edible oil, diesel oil and coke.

A cargo volume of 42,290 tons comprising 30,679 tons of import and 11,611 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as Aurora, AL-Isha’a and AL-Maqwa left the port.
