KARACHI, June 21: Seven ships carrying cars, DAP fertiliser and steel are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six vessels, Dream Beauty to offload cars, Harmony, Y.M. Energy, Corin Thaikos and Hyundai Advance to unload and load containers and Hartati to offload oil were berthed.

Five ships, APL Sokhna, Scotland, Pacific Express, Swat and Pontonikis departed on Thursday, while Dream Beauty, Y.M. Energy, Hyundai Advance and Al-Jaber-18 are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.114m tons comprising 20,797 tons of export cargo including 8,978 tons of cement and 92,902 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Eric G. Gibson, CMA CGM Gardenia, Iran Tabatabaei and Mol Asante with containers, Jon Jin-2 with DAP fertiliser, Winco Uno with 150 cars and Bright Ocean-2 with steel.
