Jamil Bugti joins ‘original JWP’

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, June 20: Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti, son of the slain Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, has finally joined the Jamhoori Watan Party. Talking to Dawn at his Karachi residence on Wednesday, he said that he was not joining the official JWP which had held a convention in Quetta on May 13, under the guidance and supervision of what he called government agencies.

He said that he was joining the original JWP founded by his father and his senior companions.

He said that he would work as an ordinary worker of the party along with the elders.

Paying tributes to senior JWP members, Jamil Bugti renewed his pledge to uphold the cause for which his father had sacrificed his life.

He said that under the guidance of the senior leadership, the JWP would be reorganized and struggle for national rights of the Baloch would continue.

Jamil Bugti said that he would soon address a press conference to announce his future course of action.
