KARACHI, June 20: Pakistan People’s Party leader and MNA Nabil Gabol on Wednesday condemned the efforts being made by the ruling coalition to implicate PPP local leaders in false cases, saying that such attempts would not throttle their struggle for the rights of the people.

Mr Gabol accused the Muttahida Qaumi Movement leaders of covertly trying to exert pressure on police to implicate him and other PPP leaders in false cases on charges of inciting workers to tear up the MQM flags.

The MNA said that the successful rally staged by the PPP in Lyari on Tuesday was peaceful and no untoward incident took place despite the fact that the rally passed through some very sensitive areas.
