South Asian swimming in September

LAHORE, June 12: Around 400 men and women swimmers of the South Asian regions will be in Pakistan to take part in the South Asian swimming and water polo championship to be held at Islamabad from Sept 3 to 8.

A spokesman of the Pakistan Swimming Federation (PSF) said that except Afghanistan all other countries of the region, including hosts Pakistan, had confirmed the participation.

The spokesman said that first time the Under-14 age competitions would also be held along with the Open contests.

The countries, who confirmed the participation are India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Maldives.
