KARACHI, June 12: A former first-class cricketer from Pakistan, Naeem-ul-Haq, has announced his plans to launch a cricket academy in the United States.
Naeem, who played in domestic circuit for Pakistan Customs, Karachi and Pak PWD before migrating to the US in 1991, told APP in an e-mail from Florida that he was aiming to establish a cricket academy in his adopted country.
He disclosed that he has been assured full cooperation in this regard by his former team-mate Jalaluddin, whose Customs Cricket Academy has been doing a nice job in Karachi.
Having relocated to Orlando, Florida, Naeem, a qualified Level-II coach, is of the opinion that the establishment of a proper cricket academy could be helpful in turning things around there for the development of cricket.—APP
