KARACHI: FIA tasked with curbing cyber crime

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, June 12: The provincial government has directed FIA and other agencies to keep strict watch on those elements indulging in cyber crimes.

Talking to a group of computer experts on Wednesday, Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister for Information Technology Noman Saigol said that the government was planning to organise and upgrade the IT security system on modern lines for which services of international experts were being acquired.

He said effective laws were being introduced to check piracy and take action against those involved in selling pirated programs of international software firms without licence.
