KARACHI, June 12: Nine ships including two cement loaders are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where seven ships, Mol Admiration, Cosco Shekou, Victory-1, Oel Express to unload and load containers, Magdalena Green to unload general cargo and Rose and Lalazar, tankers, were berthed.
Sailing was also active as eight vessels departed, which included Kma Bhum, Chemstar Brave, Khairpur, Johar, Magdalena Green, Captain Merkus, Pacheco and Peter Paul, while Mol Admiration, Zhara4, Oel Express, Victory-1, Corin Thaikos, Heyley Nadhi, Sea Princess, Rose and Lalazar are due to sail out on Wednesday.
Owing to larger handling of the liquid tonnage, total tonnage handled rose to 0.164m tons comprising 56,102 tons of export cargo and 0.108m tons of import tonnage including 65,000 tons of oils was handled.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Oel Esteem, Hyundai Stride, Al-Walbe, Y.M Fortune with containers, Al-Mansiyrah with phosphate, Sea Brilliance with coal, Sibi, Golina to load 16,000 and 4,200 tons of cement and San Jiang Kou with general cargo.
