KARACHI: Adviser quits

KARACHI, June 7: Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister on Information Salahuddin Haider tendered his resignation on Thursday. According to official sources, Mr Haider’s resignation letter said he was quitting on account of health reasons.

But sources in the Muttahida Qaumi Movement said he had been asked by the party to tender resignation. They added that he was likely to be succeeded by Hamid Abidi, a former major in the army. Mr Abidi is said to be related to Muttahida MNA Akhlaq Hussain Abidi.—Staff Reporter
