KARACHI, June 1: Seven ships carrying chemicals, steel coils and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where 11 ships including three oil tankers, four container vessels, and Asian Queen to load cement and Adrekni to offload DAP fertiliser were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed included Hyundai Stride, Y.M. Star, Mol Silver Fern, Golden Lion and Pacific Arrow, while Islander, Ocean Pescadores, Chemstar Brave, Valbella, Lalazar, and Oel Victory are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total volume of 0.111m tons comprising 26,250 tons of export cargo including 1,223 tons of rice and 6,335 tons of cement and 84,300 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Liquid Success, with chemicals, Rose, with crude oil, Kuo Chang, Wan Hai-303, and Iran Shahryar, with containers, Calmy Coral, with general cargo and Agnes Sacan, with steel coils.
