More Japanese universities close campuses as measles outbreak spreads TOKYO, May 27 (AP) - A widening outbreak of measles among college students mostly in the Tokyo area forced another Japanese university to close one of its campuses on Sunday to control the spread of the virus. About a dozen universities in the Tokyo area, together with a handful of other schools around the country, have suspended classes since mid-April because of measles outbreaks, according to media reports. Sri Lankan sailors kill three separatist rebels in the east, military says COLOMBO, May 27 (AP) – Sri Lanka Navy killed three suspected separatist Tamil Tiger rebels during a ground operation in a jungle area north of the port town of Trincomalee in eastern Sri Lanka on Sunday, military said. About 5,000 people have been killed since December 2005, when three years of relative peace brought by a Norwegian-brokered cease-fire ended. (Posted @ 10:10 PST)

Iraq: 5 more US soldiers killed; 20 bodies found Baghdad, May 27 (Reuters) – Five more US soldiers were killed in Iraq on Saturday as violence continued to take heavy toll of life in the strife –torn country. Three U.S. soldiers were killed and two wounded in an explosion near their patrol in Salahaddin province, north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said. One U.S. soldier was killed and two were wounded by a roadside bomb in southern Baghdad on Saturday, while one U.S Marine was killed in combat operations in western Anbar province on Saturday, the military said. Meanwhile, the bodies of 20 people were found in various parts of Baghdad in the past 24 hours, police said. (Posted @ 10:00 PST)
