PML man held for theft

By Our Correspondent

SAHIWAL, May 20: The Harappa police claimed on Sunday to have arrested a ruling PML office-bearer and registered a water theft case against him.

According to reports, a grower, Ahmed, filed a complaint with the president of Pakistan.

In response to the directives, the Harappa police instituted a case of water theft against Abdul Rashid, a close aide of a provincial minister.

Earlier the police did not entertain Ahmed’s complaint.

Abdul Rashid had broken an approved watercourse to irrigate his lands unlawfully, according to the complainant.
