KARACHI: Two women found dead

KARACHI, May 10: An elderly woman and her 40-year-old daughter were found dead in their flat in the Preedy police area. The bodies were taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where the victims were identified as Mashallah Jan, 68, and Umme Khatoon.

Hospital sources said the bodies were at least two days old. They said the post-mortem report was reserved till the report of the chemical examination of viscera. The victims were supposed to have died due to poisoning.

Police said the elderly woman, a widow, was living with her unmarried daughter in the flat which was owned by her maternal nephew.
