KARACHI, May 7: Six ships carrying, containers, chemicals and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where over a dozen ships were berthed during the last two days, which included two cement loaders, Aqaba Express and Asian Queen, three tankers and eight container vessels.Sailing was also brisk as the same number of ships departed after loading and unloading various type of cargo, while Gallant Wave, Corin Thaikos, China Star, Al-Boor and Mol Ability are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.194m tons comprising 81,749 tons of export cargo, including 10,552 tons of wheat and 0.112m tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Chemstar Brave, with chemicals, APL Brisbane, Tower Bridge, Iran Hesabi, with containers, Golina, to load 4,200 tons of cement and Khairpur, with general cargo.
