KARACHI, March 30: Three ships carrying containers and project cargo and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where only two ships, Biro Bong to unload and load general cargo and Raban-1 to load rice were berthed.

Five vessels, Hyundai Sprinter, Y.M. Moon, Kota Perkasa, Nyzdan and Islamabad departed on Friday, while Biro Bong, Vancouver Victory, Eastmed Carrier, Iran Hesabi, Oel Esteem and Oel Aishwarya are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 63,092 tons comprising 27,373 tons of export cargo including 9,367 tons of cement and 1,855 tons of rice and 35,719 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Sea Princess to load 19,000 tons of cement, Bunga Kenari and Iron Butterfly with project cargo.
