SWABI, March 20: The Intel Education Pakistan organised a one-day workshop for science students of colleges and schools on Tuesday at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute.
The objective of the workshop was to give tips to students on how to plan projects and carry out research.
Officials of the Intel Education gave a comprehensive presentation to selected students and their science teachers from the private and public institutions in of the district.
In the past students from Peshawar participated in such workshops and a need was felt that students from other areas of the NWFP should also come forward, said Ammar Ahmad of the GIK’s science society.
After holding regional workshops a provincial-level workshop would be held in October in Peshawar in which students would compete for national workshop and then for participating in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in the US.
Each year the Intel International selects over 1,200 students from 40 countries to compete for scholarships, tuition grants, internships, field trips and a grand of prize.
