KARACHI, March 20: Five ships carrying containers and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, African Cobra, to offload steel, Adiab Queen, to load cement, Ivan Mararin to load rice and Swat to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed included Kama Bhum, Victory-1, San Jiang Kuo, Johar and Carribbean Carrier, while Ghatty Bottigileri, Oel Esteem, Swat, Zayed, and African Cobra are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 92,668 tons comprising 39,166 tons of export cargo including 1,001 and 2,195 tons of rice and cement and 53,502 tons on import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Kota Gunawan Y.M.Faha, Iran Baabaei and Corin Thaikos, with containers and Pacific Arrow to load 10,000 tons of cement.
