KARACHI, March 12: Three ships to load/offload containers, seeds and chemicals were accommodated berths at during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday. Meanwhile, six more ships carrying containers, iron ore, edible oil and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 50pc at the port where five ships, CMA CGM Rose, Sima Paya, Panagia, Tai Prosperity and Oriental Miho, were busy in loading and unloading containers, fertilizer, seeds and chemicals.A cargo volume of 18,349 tons comprising 8,659 tons of import and 9,690 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as CMA CGM Rose, Dymphna and Sima Paya left the port.
