WIESBADEN (Germany), Feb 27: Prices of goods imported into Germany rose by just 0.7 per cent on a 12-month basis in January, much slower than in previous months as a result of easing energy prices, official data showed on Tuesday.
The German import price index declined by 0.7pc in January from the figure for December and was 0.7 per cent higher than it had been in January 2006, the federal statistics office Destatis said in a statement.—AFP
