KARACHI, Feb 23: Three ships to load and offload containers and wheat were berthed at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, one more container ship also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 50 per cent at the port where five ships, Al-Manakh, Borneo, Master Nicos, Asha Manan and Regent, were busy in loading and offloading containers, rice, wheat and crude oil.

A cargo volume of 52,042 tons comprising 40,545 tons of import and 11,497 tons of export tonnage was handled.
