HYDERABAD, Feb 22: The caretaker of the shrine of Sufi saint Mohammad Faqir Khatian, Faqir Ahmed Khan Khatian, has said that there is imminent danger of breach of peace at the shrine as some people are trying to take over its possession.

Ahmed Khan told a news conference at the press club on Thursday that he had been administering the affairs of the shrine for the last 18 years, including the annual Urs, which had always been observed in a peaceful manner.

He said that some residents of Goth Suleman Khatian were trying to take over the possession of the shrine and the property of a trust created by Rais Dost Ali Khatian to help look after the shrine.

He said that the people had held Azmat-i-Auliya conference at the shrine on Wednesd ay and invited some government representatives to give legitimacy to their efforts to take over the possession of the shrine and the trust property.
