KARACHI, Feb 22: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has directed the Archives Department to compile data of all items of historical importance, including books, available in the province for preserving them for the coming generations.

He also asked the department to launch a website where people could find detailed information about historical and cultural identity of Sindh.

The governor issued the directives while presiding over a meeting of the Sindh Archives Department officials in the Governor’s House here on Thursday.

He pointed out that Sindh’s culture and civilisations were among the world’s oldest and it was imperative to take comprehensive measures to preserve them.—PPI
