Doubles crown for Aisam

LAHORE, Feb 20: Pakistan's Aisam-ul-Haq, together with Robert Stephane of France, has lifted doubles title of the ITF Futures Indoor tennis championship in Barnstaple, England.

According to a message received on Tuesday, they defeated the pair of Philip Stalt of the US and Germany’s Lars Uebel in straight sets (6-2, 6-3).

Earlier in semi-finals, they outclassed German duo of Grambow and Jim May 6-3, 6-4.

In quarter-finals, their victims were Andrew Kemaugh and Tom Rushby, who were beaten by scores of 6-3, 6-2.

This was Aisam's 39th international title.—APP
