KARACHI, Feb 19: Three ships carrying chemicals, containers and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity on the wharves was on the higher side where nine ships, Aka Bhum, Hayley Nandhi, Norasia Alps, Independent Spirit and Dimitris-7 to unload and load containers, Cherry Star, Relief Carrier, Shalamar, Sutra Tiga and Pertiwi, tankers, were berthed.

Sailing was also active as 10 ships departed during the last two days including Oel Victory, Corin Thaikos, Hayley Nandhi, Wan Hai-301, Mol Asante, Bunga Tersek, Aka Bhum, Sutra Tiga, Shalamar and Pertiwi, while Independent Spirit, Dimitris-7 and Sea Princess are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.186m tons comprising 53,025 tons of export cargo including 2,951 tons of rice and 13,008 tons of clinkers and 0.133m tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Victory Ocean with chemicals, Hartali to load ethanol and APL Yokohama with containers.
