KARACHI: Gambia promoting tourism

KARACHI, Feb 18: A reception was hosted by the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Gambia Tahir Husain to celebrate the country’s independence day.

Mr Husain said Gambia attaches a lot of importance to tourism and tourism has become the largest sector earning foreign exchange for the country. He said tourism accounts for 12 per cent of the country’s GDP.

He said Gambia has a liberal market based economy and invited Pakistan businessmen to explore prospects of enhancing trade relations.—By A Reporter.
