KARACHI, Feb 14: Six ships carrying containers and to load ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where half a dozen vessels were berthed as under: Swat, to offload crude oil, Iran Hesabi, APL Jeddah, to unload and load containers, African Falcon, to unload and load general cargo, Jullieta, to load rice and Evgenia to load cement.

Five ships, Iran Hesabi, Oel Esteem, China Star, Golden Win, and Nancy departed on Wednesday, while APL Jeddah, Swat, African Falcon, and Hyundai Stride are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a total volume of 94,243 tons comprising 25,942 tons of export cargo, including 6,403 tons of rice and 1,921 tons of clinker and 68,301 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Hartati to load 2,400 tons of ethanol, Corin Thaikos, Kota Permai, Calvin P. Titus, Oel Victory and Y.M.Star, with containers.
